Celebrity Foods’ Employees Local Favorites – The Gypsy Den

Everyone has a favorite restaurant.  Just because we work for Celebrity Foods (arguably the best food company around) doesn’t mean that we have to eat at home every night!  I enjoy dining out occasionally at one of my favorite restaurants in my neighborhood, The Gypsy Den in Santa Ana. From the relaxed atmosphere, to the comfy chairs and décor, The Gypsy Den’s tasty and filling food is a unique dining experience for this eater. Just like the Celebrity Foods dinners I prepare at home, all of their dishes are made from scratch (only I don’t have to do the dishes). Their menu features traditional vegetarian dishes with added flair like the Veggie BLT sandwich made with “fake bacon” to unique dishes like the Gypsy Rice salad made with a tamari & olive oil dressing. If I’m in the mood for a snack other than our Celebrity mashed potatoes, I enjoy the French Fried Potatoes or Bread Pudding at The Gypsy Den, depending on my mood. The wait staff is friendly and seems genuinely happy to be working at The Gypsy Den. Even owners Catherine Graziano and Joe Ongieis can be seen regularly visiting tables of regular and new customers, welcoming folks to their restaurant, full of energy, with the same spirit most of you had when welcoming me to Celebrity Foods as an employee. The Gypsy Den also holds events at the restaurant, which include open mic nights and music jams. Any day or night is a good time to check out what The Gypsy Den has to offer (again, only if you’re not at home with that Celebrity Foods’ Filet Mignon).

Ever been to “The Den”, as us regular Gypsy Den customers call it? Know of just as good a place to dine out at occasionally? Do share by replying to this post or starting your own post in this category, Celebrity Foods’ Employees Local Favorites. Let’s blog together.
